For what is possibly the best queer anthem of the year, King Princess unveils a brand new video starring an AI version of herself. 'Only Time Makes It Human' is the first single from the New York singer's forthcoming second album, the details of which are yet to be announced.
It's King Princess' first release since dropping her stunning debut album 'Cheap Queen' back in 2019 - an album that reached the top 10 in the US Heatseekers Chart and earned her universal critical acclaim.
In 'Only Time Makes It Human', she sings about an ex-girlfriend while strutting around in front of televisions and cameras as a Sim-esque robot. The video has been directed and produced by Quinn Wilson (King Princess' partner who also happens to be Lizzo's creative director) alongside Swedish digital artist Pastelae.
This year, the 21-year-old singer was shortlisted for a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music Artist, but lost out to country rapper Lil Nas X. But that doesn't mean she's not one of the most talented queer pop musicians out there at the moment. We can begin to describe how much we're looking forward to a follow-up to 'Cheap Queen'. We just hope it comes sooner rather than later.
