There's a new dream team in the pop world as Lauv and Conan Gray unite for a new project. They've just dropped an infectious new single entitled 'Fake', alongside a colourful video. We're just hoping that's not the last we'll see of this duo.
Photoshoots, pillow fights, confetti and far too much leopard print make up the scene of a vibrant video for Lauv and Conan Gray's song 'Fake'. The video, directed by Jason Lester, includes some of the biggest pop video tropes out there as they sing about staying true to themselves in a world where it's so easy to become yet another vapid, generic popstar.
'Fake' started out as a Facetime jam between the two of them, and it's obvious that they've managed to click so seamlessly both professionally and socially. This is the kind of bromance we live to see.
Both of them released their debut studio albums in March 2020; Lauv with 'How I'm Feeling' and Conan with 'Kid Krow', and both are stunningly upbeat examples of modern electro-pop. Lauv has already been involved in a number of collaborations with the likes of BTS, Anne-Marie, LANY, Troye Sivan and Alessia Cara, though this will be the first of likely many collabs for Conan Gray.
