Lissy Taylor shares her first new music of the year with her uplifting and anthemic new single - 'Young'. The 'Carefree' artist's last release was her four track 'Undercurrent' EP which she shared in July of last year.
Lissy's new track showcases her smoldering vocals perfectly as she sings above a repeated guitar riff and tight percussive score with the succinct power-pop track building brilliantly to it's euphoric finale.
Taylor says that her latest release is - "A mood boosting indie track with soaring guitar riffs perfect for summer. Young embodies escapism, hope and untamed energy...Everything I create always comes from personal experience, I feel by keeping my writing honest, people will hopefully relate to the emotion of the track. I wanted to capture the hope and uncertainty of youth and combine it with some massive guitar riffs. I wanted the song to feel like an escape to freedom, especially as I wrote this during lockdown."
Lissy Taylor's latest release, her first of four this year, is produced by Gareth Nutall (Frank Turner/Lottery Winners/The K's). The accompanying video is self directed by Lissy and - "is made up of clips from summer surfing with my friends". The grainy film recalls some of the great surfing movies from the past including - 'The Big Wednesday', but especially the classic 1966 film - 'The Endless Summer'.
