'Don't Call Me Up' and 'Tick Tock' singer Mabel teams up with Jax Jones and Galantis for her first single of the year - 'Good Luck'. Aside from sountracking the 2021 McDonald's Christmas campaign with her take on Cyndi Lauper's 'Time After Time', and sharing a three track Christmas EP to go with it, The 'Mad Love' artist hasn't released any new material since she hooked up with Joel Corry back in October for their single - 'I Wish'.
Last year's collaboration with 'Head & Heart' artist Corry brought Mabel a top 20 single, and her highest charting position of 2021, but it came nowhere near to replicating her previous top 10 singles, 'Finders Keepers', 'Don't Call Me Up', 'Mad Love', 'Boyfriend' or 'West Ten'.
Mabel will be hoping that her second hook up with 'OUT OUT' DJ and producer Jax Jones will help her replicate some of her previous chart successes. The energised and up-beat, summer ready, floor-filler should be 'Good Luck' for her, Jones and Swedish superstars Galantis.
Mabel has said that her new track is - "the empowering song you need when getting ready to go out: when you’re feeling low about someone, and your friends will take you out to get that person off your mind".
As the video was about to drop Mabel took to her Instagram page to say - "IT'S HERE!!! 'Good Luck' with us & @jaxjones is out now(link in bio)...Been waiting soooo long to release this one, we hope you guys love it! See you on @youtubemusic for the video premiere at 11am".
Mabel also got to perform her new track as part of the BBC's 'Comic Relief' TV spectacular and said - "Had such an amazing time performing “Good Luck” for the very first time last night on @comicrelief. Thank you to everyone who tuned in and donated, such an amazing cause and I was so happy to be a small part of it".
