'Tick Tock' singer Mabel is enjoying a night out clubbing in the video for her latest single, 'Let Them Know'. The empowering, anthemic track is Mabel's first release of 2021 and her first since she shared her festive flavoured double a-side, 'Loneliest Time Of The Year' and 'I'll Be Home For Christmas' back in November last year.
Mabel's new track has been created with "the singer’s friends and close collaborators Raye, SG Lewis, and MNEK" and is all set to be a dance floor filler before the summer's out. The up-tempo track is irresistibly catchy with plenty of great lyrical couplets to keep you engaged. We're particularly likely the Doja and Coca-Cola rhyme!
Mabel took to Instagram on June the 9th to explain more about the track when she posted, "I spent so long living in my shell. So afraid to unleash my full potential and be myself because I was terrified of what people would think. I’ve been holding myself back and hiding my whole life because I was worried that the really me wouldn’t be enough. Now I’ve finally found the courage to be who I really am, to properly express myself and be the artist I’ve always wanted to be. This next part of the journey is dedicated to anyone who’s ever felt scared to truly be themselves,” she continued. “I just want you to know that who you really are is enough, it’s more than enough and I want nothing more than for you to be proud of that. LET THEM KNOW."
Mabel followed up her message a few days later as she encouraged her fans to get creative on Tik-Tok when she said, "So excited the official sound for Let Them Know is live on @TikTok! Can’t wait to see what you guys create with it! Link in bio." To date 52,000 videos have been shared by her many fans.
On the same day that the single and video dropped Mabel posted, "I've put everything into this new music and I hope you guys love it as much as I do. Written with my loves @raye @sglewis @mnek. #LetThemKnow OUT NOWWW!!"
'Let Them Know' is the lead track from Mabel's up-coming second album that is expected to arrive later this year.
