RAYE follows up the release of her albums 'Euphoric Sad Songs' and 'Euphoric Sad Songs (Dance Edition)' with a new video for one of the tracks to be found on both albums, 'Regardless'. The collaboration with Rudimental is one of many on the 'Dance Edition' with others including Punctual, MOTi and Joel Corry.
RAYE's 2020 debut album followed five singles as well as numerous remixes last year and firmly put her in the spotlight. The British-Swiss, London based singer-songwriter's album centred around "seven stages of grief" with each track being at least co-written by RAYE to "help heal her broken heart"
Rachel Agatha Keen, aka RAYE, has a voice that lends itself beautifully to a dance track and 'Regardless' is no exception. RAYE's vocals are silky smooth and have a sultry sheen that adds a chic finish to any club track. The laid back beat of 'Regardless' suits RAYE's sophisticated vocal style to a tee, letting it take centre stage over the electro enhanced beat.
"I hate wakin' up alone, Call me when you're headin' home, I got things I need to say that I can't say to you over the telephone" RAYE sings as she aches for the love of her absent partner.
In the accompanying video RAYE (complete with technicolor talons), and her crew, get choreographed in red, white and blue swimwear as they dance in and around their infinity pool. "Regardless of the tears I cried for you today. Regardless of the words you think but never say, You're always in my mind somehow. Whether we're up or down, Regardless" she sings in an increasingly soulful way, seemingly smitten with love.
