Rapper Russ Millions returns after 'Reggae & Calypso' with Buni and YV to deliver a sexually charged solo single - 'Backseat'. The Ivor Novello Award nominee scored another hot hit with his Febraury release, climbing to number 12 in the UK charts with his first release of the new year.
26 year old Millions, real name Shylo Batchelor Ashby Milwood, will be hoping that he scoops the prestigiuous Ivor Novello Award for Best Contemporary Song at this years Ivor's awards at Grosvenor House in London on May 19th. His collaboartion with Tion Wayne on their mega hit, number one single, 'Body', is up againgst PinkPantheress ('Just For Me'), FKA Twigs ('Don't Judge Me'), James Blake ('Coming Back') and Little Simz ('I Love You, I Hate You').
One of the 67th Ivor Novello Awards judges, and former Ivors winner, Shaznay Lewis of All Saints, said it had been - "a stand-out year. I am full of admiration for the 77 talented songwriters and composers we are celebrating this year," she said. "Their work and words touch on a dizzying range of emotions, and I count myself lucky to have heard their stories."
In the new video for his latest track, directed by Isa Perez, Russ Millions is once again seen busting some signature moves. Russell Stephens, via YouTube, commented, "Love how Russ has a new little dance move for us with every vid. Plenty of drill artists know how to rap, but he really knows how to move" whilst PouLO said - "This is Russ’s year. My bro never disappoints. His music is so exciting, that’s why I admire him so much. Keep up the good work!".
