Vin Diesel, who voices Groot in Marvel's hugely successful Guardians of the Galaxy movie, has hinted at his association with a new 'Inhumans' project. The studio is yet to introduce the Inhumans into the Marvel universe though it's known to be a on a list of priorities for the coming years.

The Inhumans are a fictional race of superhumans created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby who first appeared in Fantastic Four #45 in 1965. Notable members include Black Bolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Triton, Crystal, Maximus the Mad and, of course, Lockjaw.

On Facebook, Diesel posted a picture of himself as Groot, writing, "Vin and Marvel... you all made it happen! I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I'm Inhuman... Haha."

Diesel will almost certainly be back for the planned Guardians sequels, but the fact that he is only required voice work means he would be able to star as another Marvel character. He's probably most suited to Black Bolt - who produces enough energy to power a city.

As for when this could go into production: Stan Lee promised that an Inhumans movie would make it to the big screen eventually and Marvel are probably targeting 2016 or 2017.

In the meantime, Diesel has numerous projects in some form of production, including Fast & The Furious 7 and the xXx sequel The Return of Xander Cage, with Samuel L Jackson (apparently).
