Warpaint's debut album 'The Fool' will be released on October 25th 2010 through Rough Trade Records. Despite having created videos for a couple of their songs (including the enchanting Elephants) the first single proper from the release is Undertow. The release of the single and album are supported by a UK tour which is set to stop in towns including Leeds and Liverpool.
The video for Undertow sees actress Shannyn Sossamon make her directorial debut. Shannon is the sister of Bassist Jenny Lee and was actually the drummer in the Los Angeles four-piece for a period of time in 2009.
Having played numerous festivals in the UK over the summer, the group found themselves playing to ever increasing crowds and being named as 'the best new band of Leeds festival' by many who witnessed their set.
Warpaint is Emily Kokal (vocals/guitar), Theresa Wayman (guitar/vocals), Jenny Lee Lindberg (bass/vocals), and Stella Mozgawa (drums).
