Footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen have welcomed their second child into the world, with their newest son being born in the early hours of Tuesday (May 21) morning. The couple have already settled on a name for the new arrival too; Klay Anthony.

The news was broke by Coleen herself, who eagerly tweeted the good new shortly after giving birth. Coleen posted on her Twitter account  at around 3 am GMT; ''At 2.11am our Beautiful Son .... Klay Anthony Rooney entered the world. He weighed 7Ib 11.1/2 oz We're all so happy and doing well. X"

The newborn, a brother for three-year-old Kai, arrived past it's due date (as Coleen revealed over the weekend) by a few days, but was born completely healthy. The WAG is believed to have been taken to hospital on Saturday night, after into labour at her Cheshire home. She Tweeted on Sunday (May 19) morning; "Such an uncomfortable sleep last night!!! #hurryupbaby."

The couple announced that they were expecting a son in December, two months after confirming that Coleen's second pregnancy. The pair have been together for well over a decade now, exchanging their wedding vows to each other in a Italian ceremony in 2008 following a five year engagement. Their first son, Kai, was born in 2010 and if Coleen's relatively recent comments that she wants a big family of "three or four children," then Kai might not have to wait too long before he has another sibling on the way.
