Television presenter Wendy Williams has announced that she’s to take a three-week break from work, after learning that she is suffering from hyper-thyroid condition Graves’ disease.

The 53 year old star told her audience on Wednesday’s edition of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ that she had been recently diagnosed with Graves’, an autoimmune condition affecting the thyroid, in addition to thyroid issues about which she has been previously aware.

“Graves’ disease squeezes the muscles behind the eyeballs,” she told the audience, acknowledging that her audience had picked up on this in recent weeks before she did, observing her appearance during shows over the last few months.

Nene Leakes has issues with Wendy Williams, which she has decided to air out in public. And you can hardly find a more public forum than the internet . Following in the proud traditions of outraged people with a wireless connection, NeNe took to her own blog on Tuesday to air out her grievances, which reportedly had to do with an expensive handbag she was due.

Wendy Williams found herself on the receiving end of a long-winded rant this Tuesday.

“Wendy I am sure people think that I’ve done something to you, maybe we had a beef or I slept with your man but none of that is true!” Leakes wrote. “I’ve actually only been nice to you! Alexandra Shipp will play Aaliyah in an upcoming biopic about the chart topping singer whose life was cut short in a tragic plane crash in 2001. Wendy Williams, one of the executive producers of the project, announced Shipp as the lead on Friday.
