Will Arnett voices the animated character in The Lego Batman Movie
After voicing Batman in 2014's The Lego Movie, Will Arnett was intrigued by proposals to spin off the character into his own adventure, The Lego Batman Movie. "It's very fun to take an iconic character like Batman and play with the rules that have always been there for him," he says. "Keep it consistent in terms of him being good at what he does and having that bravado and machismo but, at the same time, make him a little more flawed and a little bit goofier"
Arnett says the idea was to see why Batman was so moody in The Dark Knight trilogy. He says there's inherent comedy in the idea that this handsome billionaire has a cave full of great gadgets but is still upset about something. "It made sense within the Lego world to explore that," he says. "And we've tried to expand on that in this movie and really get down to what makes Batman tick. But as you record a few sessions and you get on these tangents, you end up taking the entire story down a road that wasn't necessarily the intended road. It can totally drastically change the narrative just through goofing around."

Everyone knows how committed Batman is to his cause, he spends his days in the Batcave plotting different ways to save Gotham from the constant threat The Joker and his other cronies currently hold over the city. The one person who knows Batman better than anyone is his butler Alfred but his ageing helper has grown increasingly worried about his master's current mental state.
Wishing to find a new outlet and possibly offer some joy to Bruce's life, Alfred revokes Batman's Batcave computer privileges in an attempt for the caped crusader to bond with his adopted son. Batman is far from enthused and literally knows nothing about the kid who's living in Wayne Manor but when Dick accidentally stumbles upon the Batcave and all of Batman's elaborate toys, he can't believe his luck! First job is to find a suitable costume and young Dick takes no time re-working a Reggae style outfit.
Now Batman has found a side-kick, how will the two get on and find a way to save the city from The Joker who's planning on taking over control of Gotham.

Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo and Raphael are back in full force and ready to protect their beloved home town of Manhattan, this time the brothers are equipped with their fully loaded Tartaruga wagon and nothing will stop them from fighting the bad guys they face, in their own words: "We're just four brothers who hate bullies and love this city."

The sequel trend continues with the next installment in the Ninja Turltes "saga."
After the poorly received TMNT movie managed to claw at a box office victory this weekend ($65 million domestic, according to Box Office Mojo), Paramount are expanding their investment in a big way. The studio has just announced that they’re turning Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles into a franchise – appropriate, since that’s director Michael Bay’s specialty these days.
The turtles will return in 2016, but is it a good thing?
Besides the CGI-powered dinosaurs that the movie presents as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, the sequel also stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett. The sequel has been assigned a projected release date of June 3, 2016.
The latest trailer for 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' has arrived.
A new full length trailer for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot has rolled out online, showing the heroic reptiles stepping up their battle with the armoured villain Shredder. The movie stars Megan Fox as newsreader April O'Neil and Will Arnett as cameraman Vernon Fenwick.
One of the Turtles, looking menacing
The new trailer isn't all that different from the original teasers and retains that dark, brooding edge. However, we get a closer look at William Fichtner's Shredder who continues to reign supreme over New York with the help of his evil foot clan. Whoopi Goldberg also makes an appearance, as Channel 6 News.
The comedy duo's marriage will finally be officially over after calling it quits in September 2012.
Comedy's favourite couple will be officially over very soon.
Will Arnett has filed for divorce against his wife of ten years, Amy Poehler.
A feat previously thought impossible - a family movie that's actually good.
The Lego Movie doesn’t sound like something that could possibly be good and yet, here it is, defying all expectations and being actually great entertainment. Set up as a dizzying mashup of story and pop culture references (the way most kids actually play with their toys,) this supposedly kids movie is clearly geared equally (if not more) towards adults – not in the “wink wink nudge nudge” way that most kids movies have of peppering the script with the occasional gag for adults, but as a full-fledged, interesting story for grownups that’s bound to keep most kids happy as well.
To all those who expected this to be terrible: it isn't.
The Lego Movie is set in a dystopian universe run by the evil President Business. Everyone follows a detailed set of instructions on how to live their lives, they buy ridiculously overpriced coffee. The top song in the charts is called Everything Is Awesome, which should tell you hot terrible this world really is. We follow Emmett Brickowski (get it?) a construction worker, who, despite being completely happy with the whole government arrangement, gets dragged into a rebellion plot and put at the head of the Master Buildres’ uprising. There’s a prophecy, you see, and it says he has to do it.
The usual suspects become Oscar contenders, smaller movies fill out multiplexes, Captain America co-stars Jackson and Cooper trail their upcoming legal thriller, The Nut Job promises laughs, and Woody Allen pimps out John Turturro...
After the glamour of the essentially irrelevant Golden Globes on Sunday, the biggest movie news this week was the Oscar nominations announcement on Wednesday. As expected, 12 Years a Slave and Gravity got another big awards-season boost, while American Hustle, Dallas Buyers Club and Nebraska move into pole position, bumping Inside Llewyn Davis and The Wolf of Wall Street out of the spotlight. For now. For those who need to catch up on these titles click here for 12 Years a Slave, Gravity, American Hustle, Dallas Buyers Club, Nebraska, Inside Llewyn Davis and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Awards contenders continue to dominate cinema screens in both America and Britain, although distributors are sneaking smaller films in as alternative programming. In the US, audiences can catch the high school comedy G.B.F. or the British period romance Summer in February, while in the UK offbeat options include Michael Cera in the Chilean road trip Crystal Fairy and the cheeky Penn & Teller documentary Tim's Vermeer. 'The Nut Job' is the latest animated in the many animated films released each year, but according to critics, this one is lackluster at best.
In the age of Disney — back when only one, or less, animated films were released each year — they had better be good. But these days, when everything can be done electronically and studios are pressured into releasing numerous films each year, the quality may be going down.

At least that is according to basically every critic who reviewed The Nut Job. The film received a 14 percent positive review on RottenTomatoes.com.

Surly is an aptly named, grumpy and uncompassionate squirrel who's desperate to go to any lengths to store enough food for the coming winter. As he struggles to forage for nourishment in the city, he meets the rest of the neighbourhood's fauna including an excitable street rat, a fat mole and some simple-minded gophers - all of whom agree to accompany him on a major heist; the robbery of Maury's Nut Store which is guarded by a highly slobbery bulldog. The store is haven of all the kinds of nuts Surly could ever wish for and offers him an extended period of food stability. Along the way, though, he must learn what it is to work as a team and know the importance of the people around him before his temper pushes his friends away for good.

Netflix has introduced multiple viewer profiles which will ensure viewers, using the same account, have personal recommendations suitable to their viewing habits.
Netflix has introduced their new viewer profile feature. The multi profiles (up to five per account) will allow individual viewers their own viewing area which will ensure they are receiving appropriate recommendations.
Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka at the premiere of Season 4 of Arrested Development at the TCL Theater in L.A. Arrested Development is one of Netflix's flagship shows.
The tool was introduced in the US on Thursday so the internet provider would better be able to understand their audiences' viewing habits and needs. For instance a child of 6 may enjoy watching a show such as Peppa Pig whereas the 30+ adults of the household may prefer horror films. There's a distinct difference between the sorts of recommendations Netflix would provide for the two very different audiences. This latest application is intended to solve this problem.

The trailer for the 'LEGO Movie' is here and it looks awesome!
Just the idea of a LEGO movie is enough to make minds explode with excitement, so if your brain is still currently on the inside of your skull then it's time for some serious movie-stalking because The LEGO Movie is more real that you can even begin to comprehend.
Lego The Movie - Temple Gathering
The film will leave no stone unturned in the Lego Universe and will feature a host of special guests from Batman to the Little Mermaid and from ninjas to those random LEGO spacemen that every collection seems to have. What did we say about head-explodingly-good?
Emmet is just a regular little Lego guy with an average and uneventful life. However, that's all about to change when wizened mystic Vitruvius mistakes him for the amazing Master Builder and enlists him on a mission to save the plastic building block world from being glued together by an evil adversary. He has no choice but to accompany Vitruvius, Batman and an attractive by feisty female mini-figure as they track their nemesis down before havoc can be wreaked upon the world, despite being dangerously unprepared and certainly unskilled in anything surrounding life and death matters. Will Emmett surprise himself and live up to the overwhelming expectation? Or is Legoland doomed to be enveloped in adhesive?
Based on the popular toy that has absorbed both children and adults for 64 years, 'Lego' is hilarious animated movie directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller ('21 Jump Street', 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs'), and Chris McKay ('Robot Chicken'). Lord and Miller also co-wrote the screenplay alongside brothers Dan Hageman and Kevin Hageman ('Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu', 'Hotel Transylvania'). With a star-studded ensemble cast playing a variety of well-known Lego mini-figures, the film is definitely set to be a hit all round when it comes to screen on February 14th 2014.
The trailer was uploaded to YouTube earlier this week and it is gloriously funny
If you didn't know a LEGO movie was going to be made then get ready to have all your childhood dreams come true as the makers of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs have assemble what could be the greatest animated movie since, well, Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs (in case you haven't seen it, you really need to).
Parks and Recreation's Chris Pratt, who will also be starring in the upcoming Marvel-movie-adaption of Guardians of the Galaxy next year, is voicing the main character, Emmet, who has been chosen by the Master Builders of the LEGO universe as the saviour of a their world against a life-threatening force. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller ar teaming up again to film this picture, which will feature a slew of characters from across the LEGO world, including Batman, Superman, ninjas, wizards and more as Emmet tries to save the LEGO world.
The LEGO Movie could be the next big children's franchise.
Warner Brothers have released the first trailer for The LEGO Movie, set to hit theaters on February 7, 2014. The original 3D computer animated story follows the story of Emmet, a clean-cut LEGO mini-figure who is mistakenly identified as being the key to saving the world. Emmet (voiced by Chris Pratt) is drafted into a fellowship of strangers to stop an evil tyrant President Business (Will Ferrell) and his henchman Bad Cop (Liam Neeson) from achieving world domination. Does this have anti-capitalist undertones!?
Of course, Emmet is hilariously underprepared for such an adventure and calls upon his fellow travellers Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), an old mystic (Elizabeth Banks) Batman (Will Arnett), and a swaggering pirate (Nick Offerman) for help.
It all looks pretty good fun and kids and families should have a whale of a time with this one. Warner executives are probably seeing dollars signs, and plenty of them.

The beloved show returns with an all new story format.
Hurrah, Arrested Development returns this Sunday. Fans of the original series could not be more excited, while everyone else is just kind of looking around being really confused. The Emmy-award winning show will come back with 15 brand new episodes, to Netflix of all places and in a lot of ways, it will be pretty similar to the Arrested Development we know and love – it will be divided into roughly half-hour episodes, with the entire main cast reprising their roles - Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter and Portia De Rossi.
Jason Bateman returns as Michael Bluth this Sunday.
But creator Mitch Hurwitz warns viewers not to expect a perfect replica of the earlier seasons. Besides the obvious changes, necessitated by the fact that this season comes seven years later, the story will be structured slightly differently. Instead of all the characters appearing most of the time, like we’ve been used to, every episode from season four will be centered around a single character, with the rest of the Bluth family making only occasional appearances. Longtime fans, however, will be rewarded for their dedication, with story arcs that continue over several episodes. Much like his audience, Hurwitz himself could not be more excited by the show’s return. Or more surprised.

Three cheers for the return of Arrested Development! And another three to the hilarious antics of the cast at the premiere
Yes, the peeps of Arrested Development are cool on screen and off. Or at least we like to think so. The show will finally be back on screen (in a whole new way) next week and everyone is SO EXCITED. Yes, the caps were absolutely necessary there. After a seven-year absence (has it really been that long?) the Bluth family is back in fifteen all-new episodes, premiering May 26th on Netflix. Not only that, but there is also a rumored movie, also written by the creator, Mitch Hurwitz, picking up where the fourth season ends.
Arnett looked casual and relaxed at the LA premiere.
The premiere for said season was held this week in Los Angeles and, of course, Jason Bateman and Will Arnett had to go and make a scene. It was a funny one though and aptly reminiscent of the show, in which Bateman and Arnett’s characters (Michael and Gob Bluth) are constantly at each other’s throats.
CBS CEO Les Moonves and his wife 'The Talk' host Julie Chen were among red carpet arrivals at the 2012 CBS Upfront Presentation along with Will Arnett, who will appear in the new CBS sitcom 'The Millers', and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' star LL Cool J.
Megan Fox and Will Arnett shoot their new movie with some unusual training methods.
Megan Fox and Will Arnett looked to be getting some serious training on the set of the new 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' movie in Manhattan.
The actors were snapped earlier this week enjoying a particularly energetic filming session. Megan, who plays reporter April O'Neil in the new superhero flick, was dressed in super tight work out gear as personal trainer to the stars Harley Pasternak offered her advice on the proper techniques of trampolining. As the day wore on, it started getting pretty hot in New York's Gramercy Park and she was forced to retreat under a parasol for a break from the blistering sun. Will Arnett wasn't seen on a trampoline at all during the shoot, though that didn't stop him trying to pick up a few tips from the trainer as well.
When Beth attends her sisters sporadic wedding in Rome, she expects to fulfil her duties as maid of honour and return to her job focused life in New York. Sick of waiting for love to take its natural course, Beth takes matters into her own hands and jumps into the Fontana di Amore from which she takes a few of the coins to bring her luck on her quest to find love.
