Netflix has ordered Flaked, a new comedy series starring Will Arnett set to premiere in 2016. The eight-episode comedy is set in the world of Venice, California and follows a self-appointed guru named Chip who falls for the object of his best friend's fascination and tries to stay one step ahead of his own lies.

Arnett will also executive produce with Mark Chappell (The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret) and he also co-created and co-wrote the series. Also serving as executive producers are Ben Silverman, founder and chairman of Electus Entertainment, and Peter Principato and Mitch Hurwitz - whom you may remember as the creator, writer and producer of Arrested Development. Netflix signed a multi-year development pact with the classic comedy last year.

"We're very excited to partner with Netflix - the home of original, original content - and the network I knew would be the ideal home for this passion project," Arnett said in a statement.
