Ron Burgundy could potentially have a premium No.1 hardback on his hands, with the release of his memoirs Let Me Off at the Top! My Classy Life and other Musings just weeks away. It hits on November 19 but Burgundy himself has previewed the book in a brand new video.

"I've been asked to talk about why I've written my highly anticipated autobiography Let Me off at the Top. Well, for one it turns out I'm a great book writer.

"I've always been a great anchorman, a great flute player and a great collector of fine leather bound manuscripts, but it turns out I can write a hell of a book.

"I'm not going to lie to you, this is a very important book from an important man. I was the No.1 news anchor in all of San Diego. My name is Ron Burgundy. What you have in your hands is a very big deal. It's my life...it's my works, it's MY GIFT TO YOU."

Announcing the book earlier this year, Burgundy - or Will Ferrell - said, "I don't know if it's the greatest autobiography ever written. I'm too close to the work. I will tell you this much: The first time I sat down and read this thing, I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank."

Comedy memoirs are becoming more popular and Burgundy's publisher Random House was presumably buoyed by the success of Alan Patridge's book I Partridge, We Need To Talk About Alan over at Harper Collins. The book was particularly popular in audio format and Ferrell's book will also be available in digital form.

A month after the release of Let Me Off at the Top! Burgundy will star in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which opens on December 20. Check out the trailer and pictures from the sequel, starring Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate.
