Ron Burgundy is already a big deal but now he will be a huge one!

The fictional news anchor, from Will Ferrell's hugely popular comedy 'Anchorman', will be honoured by Emerson College on December 4th.

According to The Associated Press, the college in Boston will rename its communications school for one whole day.

The college's school of communication will be renamed the 'Ron Burgundy School of Communication'.

Ferrell will appear at the college on Dec 4th, but he will be in character for all of the day's events.

'Burgundy' is scheduled to speak to the Emerson students about his successful career in journalism and how he achieved it, Ron is, after all, "kind of a big deal".

This should be hilarious!

The Channel 4 news team leader is also expected to hold a news conference for the renaming ceremony as well as a screening of 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,' in which Ferrell will introduce as himself.

College President Lee Pelton expressed his thought on Burgundy, stating he "understands the power of media, as well as hairspray, firsthand."

Ron is also looking forward to the chance of speaking with aspiring students as he wants to inform them how tough it will be to get to the top , "especially if you don't have good hair."

Lately Burgundy has stepped away from the news desk to venture into other business opportunities. The television broadcaster has filmed several trailers for car company 'Dodge' and will be the face of their new 2014 Dodge Durango ad campaign.

Ron has also decided to pen his own memoirs titles entitled 'Let Me Off At The Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musing'. It will cover "never-before-told stories of his childhood" and his rise to the "greatest living news anchor," as well as tales of his beloved news team.

Burgundy will next star in 'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' which is set to hot theatres on 20th December 2013.
