‘The Voice’ finalist Lydia Lucy has joined her mentor Will.i.am on stage with his group Black Eyed Peas at the Royal Albert Hall. Lucy filled in for singer Fergie at the show, but reports now say she could be about to join the group full time.

Lucy posted videos of herself performing with the band on her Instagram account and wrote: "Wow. Last night was definitely a good night.” Speaking to The Mirror about her mentor Will.i.am, Lucy said: "Will is a bit like Willy Wonka. He takes all these ideas and muddles them and it always seems to work.”

"Will taught me that being myself is the most important thing,” Lucy added. “And that's the secret to life - be yourself and be positive.” Lucy came in third place during ‘The Voice’ finals in April, with former Liberty X singer Kevin Simm winning.

But the 22-year-old singer could now be about to tour with the Black Eyed Peas full time, ahead of their new album. A source told The Sun: “A deal is being worked out currently for Lydia to join the band to replace Fergie.”
