Even though the new caper thriller Plastic is getting a critical mauling on its release this week, the film will still cement the careers of the four bright-spark young British stars.

Plastic'Plastic' Isn't Very Good

At 21, Will Poulter has had the most meteoric career. He burst onto the scene in 2007, winning awards for his debut performance in Son of Rambow. This led him to high-profile roles in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (2010), and further awards attention in Wild Bill (2011) and We're the Millers (2013). Including Plastic, he has six films coming out over the next year.

Now 26, Ed Speleers made his striking debut in the 2006 dragon adventure Eragon, then paid his dues on the 2008 TV series Echo Beach before joining the cast of Downton Abbey in 2012. Plastic reunites him with A Lonely Place to Die director Julian Gilbey.

Alfie Allen was only 10 when he appeared opposite Cate Blanchett in 1998's Elizabeth. Now 28, he has a string of credits including Joe Wright's Atonement (2007) and The Other Boleyn Girl (2008), and he's had a key role in Game of Thrones since the first episode. He has also just finished filming the action thriller John Wick, opposite Keanu Reeves and Willem Dafoe.

And the youngest member of the foursome is Sebastian De Souza, who just turned 21 last month. He's best known for two TV series, starring in Skins for two years (2011-12) and as Alfonso of Aragon in The Borgias (2012-13). He's recently finished shooting the British drama Kids in Love, which reunites him with Plastic costar Will Poulter.
