Wiz Khalifa: Childhood
Wiz Khalifa was born in Minot, North Dakota, to two military parents. Khalifa's parents divorced when he was three years old, and led to him having to move around a lot as a child, growing up in places like Japan, Germany and England, before he settled in Pittsburgh and started studying at Taylor Allderdice High School. When Khalifa was 17-years-old, he tattooed the word that would become hi stage name. 'Khalifa' is an Arabic word meaning 'successor' and 'wisdom'.

Wiz Khalifa released his debut mixtape, 'Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania' in 2005. This led on to his first debut album, entitled 'Show and Prove', which was released on 5th September, 2006, receiving rave reviews. The next mixtapes released by Wiz Khalifa were 'Star Power' in 2008 and 'Flight School' in 2009 - the same year as his second studio album. 'Deal of No Deal' was released on 24th November 2009, reaching the tenth position on Billboard's Top Rap albums. The next mixtape from Khalifa was 'Kush and Orange Juice', released in April 2010.
Wiz Khalifa released his third studio album, 'Rolling Papers', on 29th March 2011. The album received moderate reviews from critics, yet topped the US R&B/Hip Hop Albums and US Rap Albums charts, as well as reaching number two on Billboard's 200. The following year on 13th March, Khalifa released the mixtape 'Taylor Allderdice' to generally favourable reviews. On 4th December 2012, he released his fourth studio album, entitled 'O.N.I.F.C.' which performed similarly well to 'Rolling Papers', but received only mediocre reviews.
On 18th August 2014, Wiz Khalifa released his fifth studio album, 'Blacc Hollywood' to mixed reviews once again. This album, however, topped Billboard's 200 list, and making its way to the top of the Canadian album charts as well.

After a gig at East Carolina University, Wiz Khalifa was arrested for trafficking marijuana. He raised the $30,000 bail and resumed his tour.
In 2011, Khalifa began dating Amber Rose. On 1st March 2012, the couple were engaged, and they were married on 8th July 2013. After having a son, Rose filed for divorce on 24th September 2014. Before the divorce was settled, Khalifa made headlines after a sex-tape between him and Playboy model, Carla Howe, was leaked.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa was reportedly handcuffed by officers at LAX airport on Saturday evening for refusing to get off his hoverboard, according to TMZ. Khalifa has since shared a video on Instagram of the incident, which shows him being restrained by officers while protesting that he is not resisting arrest.

According to the Official Charts Company the single added another 142,000 combined chart sales to its total tally this week, after becoming the fastest selling single of the year so far.

In addition its reign at the top of the American box offices, Furious 7 has doubled its domination after its soundtrack album roared to Number One in the Billboard 200. The multi-artist compilation climbed a place to the top spot in the week ending April 12th, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
The Furious 7 soundtrack has benefitted from the massive single ‘See You Again’ by Wiz Khalifa, which is also sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week. The track, a tribute to the movie’s late star Paul Walker, plays over the movie’s end credits.
The song sold 464,000 individual downloads last week, and that translates into 58,000 track equivalent album sales for the soundtrack, over 50% of its 111,000 sales total.
