Doctors have been able to reattach Andre Johnson's penis after he cut it off and jumped from a second story balcony in a widely reported suicide attempt on Wednesday. The Wu-Tang Clan-affiliated rapper was rushed to L.A's Cedars-Sinai hospital where he is said to be safe but unfortunately will not be able to see his member successfully reattached, according to TMZ.

Wu-Tang Clan Have Disputed The Link With Rapper Andre Johnson.

Johnson, AKA Christ Bearer, is a member of the group Northstar, which was founded by Wu-Tang Clan member RZA. Apparently RZA hasn't done work with the group for several years and the hip hop collective has even gone as far as to distance itself from the rapper and his actions, sending out a now-deleted website post saying "Parental Advisory : Don't Believe The HYPE. This Mother F***er Ain't Got S**t to do with The WUTANG Brand," according to Gawker.

Andre was reportedly amongst fellow co-collaborators, who live in the same building as Johnson, at the time of his suicide attempt. The two rappers have told TMZ that they weren't on "any hard drugs that would cause him to do such a thing" but also said that they believe Johnson may have "mental issues."

They said after seeing Johnson throw himself from the balcony, they rushed downstairs and outside where he had already picked himself up and was apparently screaming incoherently.

It is currently unclear if Johnson's decision to harm himself was the result of any one incident but police are treating the incident as a suicide attempt and the talented performer is being watched over carefully whilst he completes his hospital stay.
