The official video for Yungblud's live rendition of David Bowie's 1973 seminal single 'Life On Mars?' is now available, after the 23-year-old singer performed for Rolling Live Studios' A Bowie Celebration event; a live streaming concert which took place back in January.
This stunning cover seems only appropriate after Yungblud released his own single 'Mars' last year, from his second studio album 'Weird!' which reached number one in the UK. Indeed, the star shares many similarities with the deceased legend himself; from his powerful vocals to his progressive views on gender expression.
'Life On Mars?' featured on David Bowie's 1971 album 'Hunky Dory' and remains one of his most iconic records of all time. Among others who have recorded and performed covers of the track are Barbra Streisand, Aurora and Trent Reznor.
A Bowie Celebration: Just For One Day! brought together a number of artists including Duran Duran, Boy George, Lzzy Hale, Taylor Hawkins, Adam Lambert, Corey Taylor and more on January 8th 2021 - what would have been Bowie's 74th birthday. It was over 3 hours of live-streamed performances which was available for rewatching for 24 hours afterwards, with $2 from each ticket sale going to Save The Children; a charity close to Bowie's heart.
