The Hollywood pair have split up, but Efron apparently wants to reconcile with the 36 year-old actress.
Hollywood's most surprising couple, Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez, have reportedly decided to call it a day on their whirlwind relationship after a two-month long summer romance, which saw them party throughout Europe.
Rodriguez wanted to "do her own thing"
The acting duo decided to go their separate ways after they allegedly had a huge fight when vacationing in Ibiza, Spain, US Weekly reports. "Michelle is going to do her own thing. Zac knew this about her when he got with her," a source told the mag. "He's very into her though, and perhaps more than she's into him."

However, even though their short love affair is now over, Efron apparently still hopes that they can reconcile. "Zac still wants to be with her," the source added.
Rodriguez, who recently finished shooting 'Fast & Furious 7,' has had experiences in rather quick romances beforehand. Prior to hooking up with the former 'High School Musical' star, she was involved in a brief fling with British model Cara Delevingne.
"I've gone both ways. I do as I please. I am too ... curious to sit here and not try when I can," she told Entertainment Weekly in October 2013 about being attracted to both genders. "Men are intriguing. So are chicks."

The 36 year-old actress has also been romantically involved with her film franchise co-star Vin Diesel, and French actor Olivier Martinez before he married Halle Berry.
Efron still wants their relationship to work
Efron and Rodriguez were first reportedly dating after they were spotted sharing a kiss while enjoying a vacation in Sardinia, Italy, in July. The 26 year-old actor was seen leaning into Rodriquez for a smooch as they both basked in the Italian summer on a sailboat.
It is unknown when their romance officially ended, but on Sunday (Aug 17th) Rodriguez took to Instagram to share the quote, "I no longer have the energy for meaningless friendships, forced interactions or unnecessary conversations." She captioned the post, "Ain't that the truth YOLO."
