Speculation as to why Efron turned to substance abuse has revolved around girl problems, issues with his parents, and a dissatisfaction with his movie career. Though the actor has been known to party hard and visit strip clubs in the past, he's kept a low profile of late, perhaps to avoid the temptation of drugs and alcohol. An insider talking to E! Efron will be seen next in Parkland, a movie about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
