Zac Efron's reported drug problem has seen him enter rehab on two separate occasions over the course of 2013, but it now looks as though he is on the verge of making his return to sobriety and a healthy lifestyle once again. With their continued support and words of encouragement, Zac took some time to thank his fans for everything they've done for him recently through Instagram on Friday, 27 September, as a mark of appreciation.

"Hey guys! Just returned from an incredible trip to Peru with my dad and wanted to thank you all for your support these past few weeks...means the world to me. Love you guys! - Z" he wrote on his Instagram page. The photo of the Parkland star shows him posing in front of the lost Inca society of Machu Picchu, which stands in the Cuzco Region of Peru.

This is the first time Zac has broken his silence following the revelations into his reported drug use. The 25-year-old is believed to have entered rehab on two separate occasions over the course of 2013, with his drug problems apparently getting so out of hand that he held up filming for the new Seth Rogen film Neighbors. With his partying lifestyle getting considerably worse, the heart-throb decided that enough was enough and it was time to give his nose a well deserved rest.

Recently, the actor appeared at the Toronto Film Festival to promote his new film Parkland, which concentrates on the assassination of JFK, but gave no mention of his drug habits. A friend of his recently told People magazine that Zac is doing great," and that he is "taking care of himself and it shows."
