The news that Zayn Malik had left One Direction shook pop fans all across the world and devoted followers of the band have been left devastated that their once fabulous five have gone down to a frugal four.

However, 1D have proved that they’re ready to move on having made their first appearance without Zayn on James Corden’s Late Late Show in America.

It was a big coup for the British presenter’s new show particularly because the boys went into detail about their feelings on Zayn and Louis and Zayn’s very public Twitter spat.

Liam admitted that, at first, they had been angry at Zayn’s decision to leave.

He said: "We were angry but it’s better now. There were parts of the job that Zayn loved but there were parts he hated.

"And you can’t hate this job at all, or only like some of it. So he had to do what was best for him. We wish him the best of luck...no hard feelings."

Of course, anyone who has been keeping up with Twitter may not believe that following Louis’ comments about producer Naughty Boy collaborating with Zayn so soon after his departure.

On this, Louis said: "I’ve never been very good at biting my tongue. Maybe I get it from my mum. It’s one of those things.

"Twitter is great for connecting with the fans but if you also feel like saying something you probably shouldn’t, it is good for that, or bad in this case.

"But it’s all resolved, it’s all good in the hood."
