Zayn Malik is no longer on top of the UK album charts with his debut, Mind of Mine. The album entered the charts at number one last week, but has now fallen a massive eight places to barely make it inside this week's top 10.

Zayn MalikMind of Mine has been knocked off the number one in its second week.

At number one this week is Arctic Monkeys’ frontman Alex Turner and Miles Kane’s side project The Last Shadow Puppets with their long-awaited second album, Everything You’ve Come To Expect. The album outsold its nearest rival by 6,000 copies and over a quarter of its total sales came from fans buying the record on vinyl.

In the top five there were also three more new entries, Lukas Graham's self-titled debut, The Pet Shop Boys' Super, which gave the band its 12th top five album and Black Stone Cherry with Kentucky. The top five was rounded off by Adele’s 25, which is enjoying it’s nineteenth week within the top five.

In at number six was classical star Aled Jones with One Voice, his first top 10 album in 31 years, after 1985’s Walking in the Air. But last week’s number one, Zayn Malik’s Mind of Mine found itself slipping all the way down to number nine after disappointing second week sales.

The album sold just 6,144 copies in its second week, according to the Official Charts Company, compared to Jones’ 10,115 units. A source told The Sun: “The album was meant to arrive with huge fanfare. Being beaten by the likes of Aled isn’t what he or his team imagined.”
