ZERO 7 featuring Sia
Released May 10th on Ultimate Dilemma
Zero 7, friends Sam Hardaker and Henry Binns, first combined with vocalist Sia on the album Simple Things in 2001. The results were nothing short of magical, capturing a moment in time with their serene beauty and simultaneously inspiring a raft of critical and commercial success.
Now three years on and with a top 3 album under their belts – the sublime ‘When It Falls’ released in February – they have combined again on the new single ‘Somersault’. Sia’s voice once more soars over the dreamy track, though with more of a folk sentiment filtered into the beautiful Hammond-backed chorus.
Having just completed a sell out nationwide tour that culminated in two legendary performances at the Brixton Academy, Zero 7 have proven that their time is still very much now, and that their brand of aural relaxation remains a potent force in modern music.
‘Somersault’ comes backed with an inspired remix from the king of the boogie bootleg Yam Who? And a brand new track “Light Blue Movers”. This package is set to soundtrack the start of summer.
