The funnyman has been accused of sexually assaulting more than 50 women, and his co-star Bonet, who played his onscreen daughter in the 1980s sitcom, has so far refused to comment on the scandal which has been raging since last year (14).

Kravitz, Bonet's only child with rocker Lenny Kravitz, has now shed light on how her mother is dealing with the ongoing controversy, insisting the actress rarely talks about the problems facing her former onscreen father.

She tells Britain's The Guardian newspaper, "She hasn't, she really hasn't (talked about it)... she'd plead the fifth, even to me. She's just as disgusted and concerned as everyone else is, but I don't think she has any insight. It's news to her as well.

"She was on the show for a long time. She's also a beautiful woman. She's a very straightforward person. If there was something she felt the world needed to know that would help this case or help any women who had been abused, she would say something."

Cosby has denied the sex attack claims through his lawyer.
