A Zooey Deschanel caption has identified the actress as the second suspect in the Boston bombing – no, it wasn't true, just a mistake at the Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth news station. The strange and completely untrue caption, stating: “Marathon bombing, he is 19-year-old Zooey Deschanel” was the result of a mistake, for which the channel later apologized. It’s unknown whether it was human error or possibly and autocorrect type fail that lead to Deschanel’s name being put in the place of the actual suspect, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev. However, the New Girl actress managed to brush off the incident and kept it cool over Twitter (sort of) by writing: Whoa! Epic closed captioning FAIL! “@joelmchale: Oh my RT @peterogburn”

Fox 4, which is a local affiliate network of Fox News, later apologized for the blunder, saying: "Yeah... it's been one of those weeks in pretty much every way... Have a wonderful weekend everybody and thanks for sticking with us through the crazy!!"

In their defense, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is a pretty unusual name and several news anchors struggled to pronounce it, so the unintentional typo wasn’t exactly unexpected. And anyway, the caption probably went unnoticed by a lot of people and those who did notice it, didn’t seem to think much of it. So no harm, no foul. Nothing to see here.
