Lena Dunham has spoken of her desire to make a movie adaptation of ‘Girls’ – eventually. The comedic mastermind revealed that she has harboured the ambition for a while, but wouldn’t consider putting it into action for at least ten years after the series concludes.

The 28 year old was speaking to Variety about the success of the HBO series and what the future holds. “I have fantasies of us all coming back when we’re 40,” she admitted about her cast of twenty-somethings. “We’d want to wait long enough for something to have really gone down.”

The American Museum of Natural History in New York was the sight of something pretty spectacular on 5th January 2015. And no, it wasn't because Ben Stiller was running around at night with a magical tablet and entourage of historical waxworks that look oddly like famous film stars. The Museum was, however, the location for the premiere for season four of HBO's 'Girls'.

Eating disorders are not uncommon in the entertainment industry, so Zosia Mamet’s recent confession in her column in Glamour’s September issue, though sad, is not unexpected. The actress told her story in grueling details, drawing yet more attention to the mental health discussion going on in media this week.

Hannah? Marnie? Jessa? Which GIRLS Character Are You?

Lena Dunham Allison Williams Jemima Kirke Zosia Mamet Adam Driver Alex Karpovsky

GIRLS isn’t just a program. It’s become a reassurance that life isn’t necessarily going to be perfect in your mid-twenties, an idea that we all fostered throughout our turbulent teens.  Sure, the characters are (mostly) functioning human beings, but in their individual ways they are all dealing with problems which have become all too real for 20 somethings in the modern world.

Girls castWhich Member of the Girls Cast Are You?

There’s definitely a little bit in each of the characters that we can all relate to, but maybe there’s one that really makes you really think, Oh my God, that’s so me!  Here’s a low-down on each of the girls, and a couple of the guys, to help you figure out which GIRLS character you are.

'Girls' Season 3 Episode 4 Recap: "Dead Inside" Sounds Pretty Accurate

Lena Dunham Zosia Mamet Adam Driver

By now everyone knows that the HBO vehicle is essentially a weekly half hour of privileged people running around, complaining about problems that aren’t really problems and everyone, who isn’t interested in that has switched the channel. Even so, last night’s episode, Dead Inside, managed to alienate even the diehard fans. If you haven’t seen Season 3, Episode 4, beware of spoilers.

Dear Lena Dunham, we hope you're doing the sarcastic, self-aware thing.

So, it turns out that sometimes, the girls do have actual real person problems – the sudden and unexpected death of Hannah’s editor David would count as such. When it happens, the gang respond with less of what you might call “actual human emotions” and more of a “Most Self-Involved” contest.

Girls is coming back to HBO in the new year and to celebrate that fact an all-new trailer for the upcoming third season has been released. The new season will pick up where we last left Hannah (Lena Dunham) and her circle of friends - played by Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver and Alex Karpovsky - when it returns on 12 January, 2014.

The Girls girls have already found success with the series

It actually looks as though things are looking up for Hannah in the third season, having meetings with publishers and potentially making strides in her career at last. In the trailer, Hannah, Marnie (Williams), Shoshana (Mamet) and Jessa (Kirke) are each contemplating just how far they've come -or rather how far they haven't come- in the years since they graduated college. Nevertheless, it does seem as though things are finally starting to look up for the group, Hannah in particular.
