Interscope encouraged her move to LA, where she began shooting YouTube videos of her rapping. In 2011, she released her mixtape 'Ignorant Art' featuring famously controversial track 'Pu$$y'. In 2012, she signed to T.I.'s label imprint Grand Hustle and released her 'Glory' EP. That year she also ventured into modelling, and unveiled the Diplo and Fki produced mixtape 'TrapGold'. In 2014, she released her debut album 'The New Classic' through Virgin EMI and Island Records, featuring lead single 'Work', and it topped the US Rap charts. Other singles include the number one 'Fancy' featuring Charli XCX and 'Black Widow' featuring Rita Ora. Personal life: Although born in Sydney, Iggy Azalea grew up in Mullumbimby, New South Wales with her artist father Brendan and cleaner mother Tanya. She claims to have Aborigine blood due to a culture-wide eye condition her family possesses. She left high school at 16 after saving money from working alongside her mother and moved to the US, going from Miami, to Houston, to Atlanta and eventually LA.
