Veteran rocker Meat Loaf burst into tears on stage on Wednesday night (10Apr13) as he played his last ever London tour date.

The 65 year old has declared his Last At Bat U.K. trek will be his final round of gigs, and he took his farewell shows to the British capital's O2 Arena this week.

The Bat Out of Hell star was visibly emotional throughout the Wednesday night concert and tears streamed down his face as he thanked fans for their support over the years.

He also expressed his gratitude to those who bought his classic Bat Out of Hell album as the record soared to number nine in the U.K. charts this week (beg08Apr13).

Introducing his ballad For Crying Out Loud, the singer told the audience, "I just want to say to you thank you, thank you very, very much. I can't say what it means to see all of you here tonight. It is incredible.''

The rocker played the album in its entirety during the second half of the show.

After the concert, Meat Loaf wrote in a post on his Facebook.com page, "What an incredible night!!! London, you were beyond amazing. Thank you to each and every one of you that came and shared this evening with us!!!"

He also revealed his friend, Queen star Brian May, had been in the audience for the gig.

The tour concludes in Cardiff, Wales on 21 April (13).
