Actor Woody Harrelson used to be movie legend Marlon Brando's chess buddy.

The former Cheers star struck up a friendship with his hero over the chess board - and admits he always let the big man win.

He says, "Those were good times. Marlon did sometimes cheat a little bit... He made the move and it was the wrong move and then I'd take advantage of it and he'd insist on getting the move back.

"I'd argue for a bit and then I'd be like, 'I'm arguing with Marlon Brandon...! Yeah, you can have the move back.'"
