Fact: Rocker Peter Hook marked the 35th anniversary of his former JOY DIVISION bandmate Ian Curtis' death by playing the band's 47 recorded tracks in the tragic singer's hometown on Monday (18May15). The bassist played the band's entire back catalogue in chronological order in a disused church in MACclesfield, England. Curtis hanged himself at his home in MACclesfield on 18 May, 1980.
Fact: Dance music veteran Moby joined former New Order star Peter Hook onstage at the Decibel Festival in Seattle, Washington on Wednesday (25Sep13), to perform three of the group's fan favourites. The Porcelain hitmaker performed vocal duties on the encore tracks New Dawn Fades, Transmission and Ceremony.
Quote: "They reformed the band, shamelessly, in 2011 without telling me, without asking my permission to use the band name. They licensed the name to themselves, which I disagree strong with, and I'm seeking a legal remedy. It's like a divorce settlement... fixed by the wife without consulting the husband, and the husband doesn't think it's fair." Former New Order star Peter Hook is still bitter about his bandmates' decision to reunite and tour without him.

And personally I thought New Order Mark 2 were far superior to New Order Mark 1, but that's life, isn't it?" Peter Hook takes aim at former bandmate Gillian Gilbert, who has reunited with Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris for a New Order reunion he is not a part of.
