Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (born 18.4.1987) Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is an English actress and model.

Childhood: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was born at the Freedom Fields Hospital in Plymouth, Devon, to Fiona and Charles Huntington-Whiteley. Her mother is a fitness instructor and her father is a chartered surveyor.

She grew up on a farm in Tavistock, Devon and studied at Tavistock College, where she was spotted by somebody working for Profile Model Management, whilst she was seeking an internship with London model agencies. She undertook her first modelling assignment at the age of 16, for Levi's.

Career: Huntington-Whiteley started modelling for the American underwear brand Victoria's Secret in 2006. She debuted at the brand's 2006 show in Los Angeles. However, she remained relatively unknown in the fashion industry until 2008, when Burberry's Christopher Bailey chose her to replace Agyness Deyn for their fall/winter collection, along with the actor Sam Riley.

The model then landed her first British Vogue cover in November 2008, alongside Eden Clark and Jourdan Dunn. Karen Millen then signed her up as the face of their spring / summer collection in 2009. Later that year, she received an Elle magazine Style Award for 2009's 'Model of the Year'. Rosie then went on to star in a short film for Agent Provocateur. She played the role of a young woman whose boyfriend forgets Valentine's Day. For fall / winter 2009, she modelled for Godiva and Miss Sixty, before officially becoming a Victoria's Secret Angel and modelling for their fashion show in New York City.

2010 saw Rosie Huntington-Whiteley posing nude for the Pirelli calendar, photographed by Terry Richardson. She then took to the catwalk for Prada in Milan and Giles Deacon in Paris. Among the advertising campaigns for her, were Monsoon, Thomas Wylde, Full Circle and VS Online.

She went on to return to Burberry for their fall/winter 2010 campaign and also for the release of their fragrance, Burberry Body. The revered fashion photographer devoted an entire book to her, entitled Ten Times Rosie. He career continued to progress in 2011, when she landed her first debut cover for British Vogue.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has also had a successful introduction to an acting career, after it was announced that she had been cast in the role of Carly Spencer in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. She replaced Megan Fox in the role and appears alongside Shia LeBoeuf and Patrick Dempsey. Despite receiving a lot of criticism for her performance, MTV's Nextmovie.com still named her as one of their breakthrough stars to look out for in 2011.

Personal Life: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dated Ronnie Wood's son Tyrone Wood between 2007 and 2009. When they separated, she began dating Olivier Martinez (who also famously dated Kylie Minogue) and in April 2010 it was reported that she was dating the British actor Jason Statham.

The couple welcomed a baby boy, named Jack, at the weekend.

British supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has become a mother for the first time, welcoming a baby boy with her fiancé Jason Statham earlier this week.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday (June 28th) to announce the happy news, the fashion icon also revealed the little one’s name and that he had arrived at the weekend. “Our little man arrived! Jack Oscar Statham 8.8lbs on Saturday June 24th,” she wrote, captioning a picture of the new baby’s hand.

49 year old English actor Statham met Huntington-Whiteley, 30, on the set of blockbuster movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon back in 2011. They currently live in Los Angeles together.

The English beauty announced her pregnancy via an Instagram snap on Thursday.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has revealed that she’s expecting her first baby with her partner, Jason Statham, taking to Instagram to take a cute pregnancy picture.

The 29 year old English model had her 49 year old actor boyfriend take the picture, of her posing on a beach in her bikini with her growing baby bump on prominent display.

Captioning the snap, Rosie wrote: “Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x Photo by @jasonstatham.”

Mad Max: Fury Road Review

Leave it to a veteran to show the young sparks how to do it: it's been 30 years since George Miller last visited his post-apocalyptic hero Max Rockatansky, and now he's back with the best-staged action thriller of the year, a blockbuster that dares to have meaningful themes and complex characters. He also recreates Mad Max as a kind of James Bond franchise with a story that sits alongside the earlier films, not before or after, and an actor who brings a new energy to the role.

In a desert wasteland where people trade water and oil to survive, Max (Tom Hardy) is a loner haunted by the death of his family. Then he's captured by a gang from the Citadel, a towering rock city run by the tyrant Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), who has positioned himself as a god who keeps his enslaved people on a short leash. On a mission to collect oil, Joe's top imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) veers her war-rig off into the desert. So Joe sends a gang after her. Leading the charge is the gung-ho Nux (Nicholas Hoult), who uses Max, strapped to his car like a grille ornament, as a blood-bag to supply energy. But after a series of clashes involving three other gangs of desert marauders, Max and Nux end up on board Furiosa's rig, in which she is hoping to smuggle Joe's five young wives to safety.

The plot itself is fairly blunt, which means that the film requires very little dialogue (Max doesn't speak at all for the first 45 minutes, mainly because his houth is actually bolted shut). Even so, Miller fills every shot with telling details that strengthen the characters and provide insight into what they are doing, building more intriguing relationships with suspicious glances than most filmmakers do with endless conversation.

Charlize Theron has no interested in directing, preferring to stay in front of the camera so she has "somebody to blame" if things go horribly wrong.

Charlize Theron has no desire to step behind the camera - at least not any time soon. Theron was interviewed at the L.A. premiere of Mad Max: Fury Road on Thursday night (7th May) and claimed she enjoys not having to take on the full responsibility of directing.

This time, however, he is more prepared than ever to deal with the ever growing brutality of the ruffians out to kill him, and as usual he is prepared to be just as savage in order to survive. It's been a long time since any kind of law and order was held in the world, so sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. On his latest journey for peace, he meets Furiosa; a woman desperate to live life once again and is convinced that her childhood hometown on the other side of the desert holds the key to tranquility in her life.
