With the release of their third album 'Typhoon' growing steadily nearer, Royal Blood have unveiled yet another single entitled 'Boilermaker' alongside a video that's verging on iconic.
Directed by and starring Liam Lynch (who himself is best known for his 2002 hit song 'United States of Whatever' and for directing Tenacious D's 'Tribute'), the video is virtually monochrome and sees Lynch performing some epic choreography to the backing of one of the best rock bangers of 2021 so far.
The album, co-produced by Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, also features singles 'Trouble's Coming', 'Limbo' and the titular 'Typhoons'. It comes nearly four years after their second album, UK number one 'How Did We Get So Dark?', after initial production was halted last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Compared with the Brighton duo's previous two releases, 'Typhoons' looks to have a more upbeat, disco/dance-rock edge to it that so far feels like it will have international appeal.
'Typhoons' will be released on April 30th 2021 through Black Mammoth and Warner Records.
