Childhood: Macaulay Culkin was born in New York to Broadway actor Christopher Cornelius Culkin and Patricia Brentrup. As a child, Culkin studied at a Catholic school, as well as studying ballet at the School of American Ballet. From the age of four, Culkin was involved in acting in a few stage roles.
Career: In 1990, Macaulay Culkin gained his most successful role in the film 'Home Alone' as Kevin, the main character. Two years later, he reprised his role in the film 'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York'. Despite the success of the original film and the moderate success of the sequel, due to declining success of his additional film and television appearances, he took some time out of the film industry. After making a brief reappearance in the early 2000s, Culkin made various appearances in reality television shows and contests.
In December 2013, Culkin recorded a video of himself eating pizza as a parody of Andy Warhol's video of eating a burger for a documentary. The video went viral, and worked as promotion for his New York-based underground comedy rock band, The Pizza Underground. When the band was booed off-stage on one occasion, the band cancelled their later tours throughout 2014.
Personal Life: Despite refusing to comment on his personal life, Macaulay Culkin was arrested in 2004 for drug possession, as well as supporting Michael Jackson during his trial, as the two had become friends during his early career.
