Childhood: Matt Bomer was born in Spring, Texas. His parents are Sissi and John Bomer. He attended Klein High School and later Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Acting career: Matt Bomer's first TV role was as Ian Kipling on the soap opera 'All My Children'. Between 2001 to 2003 he appeared in 'Guiding Light' and later featured in 'Tru Calling'. His film debut came with the thriller 'Flightplan' in 2005 alongside Jodie Foster, which he followed with 2006's 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning'.
In 2007, he co-starred in TV series 'Traveler' and had a recurring role in the comedy 'Chuck'. His first major role was in 2009 with 'White Collar' in which he played a con artist. 2011 saw him make his Broadway debut in Dustin Lance Black's play, '8'. Later that year he appeared in the thriller 'In Time'.
In 2012, he starred as a male stripper in the movie 'Magic Mike' and he is set to appear in 'Space Station 76' in 2013.
Personal Life: Matt Bomer is in a relationship with his partner Simon Halls with whom he has three sons through surrogacy.
