Paul Rudd (born 06.04.1969) Paul Rudd is an American actor and comedian.
Childhood: Paul Rudd was born in Passaic, New Jersey. His parents were Michael, a tour guide, and Gloria, the sales manager for TV station KSMO-TV. They moved to Overland Park, Kansas when he was 10-years-old and he also lived in Anaheim, California.
He attended Shawnee Mission West high school and studied at Oxford, England's British American Drama Academy while working as a DJ. He was raised Jewish and had a Bar Mitzvah.
Acting career: Paul Rudd made his breakthrough performance in 1995's 'Clueless' alongside Alicia Silverstone. His previous appearances were in the movie 'Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers' and the TV shows 'Wild Oats' and 'Sisters'. In 1996, he played Paris in Baz Luhrmann's 'Romeo + Juliet' opposite Claire Danes and Leonardo DiCaprio.
In 1998, he was in 'The Object of My Affection' with Jennifer Aniston. The following year he appeared in 'The Cider House Rules' alongside Tobey Maguire, Michael Caine and Charlize Theron.
Between 2002 and 2004 he had a recurring role in 'Friends' opposite Lisa Kudrow and he guest starred in an episode of 'Veronica Mars' in 2007 with Kristen Bell. In 2004 and 2005 respectively, he had roles in the Judd Apatow movies 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' and 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' which both also star Seth Rogen and Steve Carell.
2007 saw him in his third collaboration with Rogen and Apatow 'Knocked Up'. In 2008, he appeared in 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' opposite Jason Segal, and 'Role Models'with Seann William Scott. In 2009, he re-united with Segal for 'I Love You Man' and voiced a character in 'Monsters Vs. Aliens'.
In 2010, he appeared opposite Steve Carell once again for 'Dinner for Schmucks' while 2012 saw him take up a role in the TV show 'Parks and Recreation' and the movie 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' with Emma Watson and Logan Lerman.
Personal life: Paul Rudd married Julie Yaeger in 2003 and they had two children; son Jack Sullivan and daughter Darby. He supports the Major League Baseball team Kansas City Royals and the NFL team Kansas City Chiefs.
