Fact: Incubus and the Deftones are heading out on the road together this summer (15). The two rock acts have announced a co-headlining tour, which will kick off on 22 July (15).

Fact: The Deftones have honoured the memory of the band's late bassist CHI CHENG by releasing a song called Smile, one of the last tracks they recorded with him, on the first anniversary of his death. The musician passed away on 14 April, 2013, five years after a car accident left him comatose.

Fact: Tool, Slash and the Deftones will join Black Sabbath and Slipknot at Japan's first Ozzfest next year (13). Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor will be on double duty at the Makuhari Messe event - his band Stone Sour will also be performing. Ozzfest Japan will take place over a weekend next May (13).

Fact: Rockers Deftones are set to release their first album in four years with an as-yet-untitled disc to hit shelves on 26 April (10). The Drive hitmaker's last offering was 2006's Saturday Night Wrist.

Fact: The Deftones will play a benefit concert in Los Angeles on 19 November (09) to raise money for their seriously ill bassist CHI CHENG, who was left in a coma following a car crash last year (08).
