British rockers Gallows have been forced to cancel two weekend shows in Norway after frontman Frank Carter fell ill with a throat infection.
The band was set to take the stage at two popular festivals on Friday (15Jul11) and Saturday (16Jul11), but the group has now pulled out of the performances so Carter can rest his voice.
In a post on Gallows' Facebook.com page on Friday, the bandmembers write, "Frank became ill yesterday and after seeking Doctors advice has been told not to play...The band will no longer be playing Sjottsfell Festival on Friday 15th July and Bukta Festival Saturday 16th July.
"The band are completely gutted about this as they love Norway and have been looking forward to these shows since confirmation and send sincere apologies to all fans."
The Gallows are still set to perform at the Guilfest in England on Sunday (17Jul11). The shows are among Carter's last with the group - he announced last week (ends08Jul11) he was quitting the band at the end of its current tour.
