The sportsman's wife, Vanessa, gave birth to another daughter earlier this week (begs05Dec16) in California, reports TMZ.com. The couple is also parents to girls Gianna, 10, and Natalia, 13. Kobe retired as a Los Angeles Lakers star earlier this year (16).

The sportsman, who was nicknamed the "Black Mamba" during his time on the basketball court, announced the happy news on Instagram on Tuesday (12Jul16). Sharing a snap of a baby onesie with "Baby Mamba" emblazoned on the chest, with a red glittery bow and a pair of tiny Nike Kobe sneakers, the 37-year-old wrote: "Beyond blessed and excited to share that we are expecting our third baby girl!!! #Blessed #BabyMamba #Thankful."
