Following his split from Kourtney Kardashian and in the possible hope of some kind of resolution, Scott Disick is believed to have purchased a new, kid-friendly home near the Kardashians worth nearly $6 million, according to a new report.

The 32 year old entered rehab a few months ago in a last-ditch attempt to tackle his alcohol use after he split up with Kourtney, his girlfriend of nearly a decade, in July 2015. In an effort to keep in contact with their three children (Mason, Penelope and Reign), he’s reportedly bought a $5.96 million mansion, featuring seven bedrooms and bathrooms, in Hidden Hills, California.

Real estate sources told People magazine on Thursday: “The house is amazing for both entertaining and also very kids-friendly. There is a lot of space for the kids. There is even a special children's wing downstairs with a second family room. There is also a refrigerated wine storage, and the house is perfect for entertaining outside.”

According to reality website Trulia, the massive pad is over 8,000 square feet and is located at the end of a neighbourhood cul-de-sac with many of the Kardashian / Jenner clan living not more than a block away.

Disick and Kourtney have been spotted together on a few occasions since their high-profile split as they co-parent, but hopes of a reconciliation appear slim as she has been dating Justin Bieber on and off for the last month. For his part, Disick has been photographed with model Lina Sandberg during January.

His motivation for such a purchase would seem to be crystal clear, especially when coupled with the evidence from a recent episode of ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ in which he tearfully told Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Kris that he probably would have killed himself if it weren’t for his children.
