The Patiently Waiting hitmaker, real name Curtis Jackson, filed for bankruptcy in a Connecticut court in July (15) and he is currently in the process of reorganising his finances as he works to settle his debts.

The money problems emerge eight years after the rapper reportedly banked $100 million (£62.5 million) when Coca-Cola purchased his Vitamin Water brand, created in partnership with Glaceau beverage bosses, for $4 billion.

He also signed an endorsement deal with Coca-Cola, allowing them to continue using his image to promote Vitamin Water.

However, that contract, which ended in 2009, included a clause banning any information relating to 50's earnings from ever being released - and the star wants to keep it that way.

According to papers filed on 15 September (15), 50 Cent fears any publicity concerning the financial aspect of his Vitamin Water promotion will "ruin future deals, giving the company the upper hand in negotiations".

A judge has yet to rule on the motion, according to TheJasmineBrand.com.
