Adele paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist atrocities in Brussels during her sold-out London gig last night, labelling the perpetrators as “f***ers” as her fans lit up the O2 Arena with their mobile phones in solidarity.

Pausing in the middle of her set at the 20,000-capacity venue, the 27 year old singer praised her fans for being “united” while directing her anger at the bombers, who claimed 34 lives and injured hundreds during two co-ordinated attacks on the Belgian capital’s airport and subway system that morning.

“We're all here for the same reason. I'm hoping you've all come to be entertained by me,” she can be heard saying on a fan video. “I'm here to entertain you, so we're all united, so that makes us much better than them f***ers. You're on, you f***ers.”

She then sang her cover of Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’, taken from her debut album 19, and dedicated it to the victims of terrorists.

“This is 'Make You Feel My Love' and this is for Brussels tonight, I want you to all sing it with me alright so they hear us,” she said as her fans sang along with her, lighting up the screens and torches of their mobile phones as they did so.

After finishing the song she said: “I don't think I've ever actually been so moved before in my life at one of my shows, that was just so beautiful. Thank you very much for doing that ... I think they heard us.”

Adele wrapped up a lengthy eight-night residency of the massive London venue on Tuesday night, playing to 160,000 people in total. She’ll be heading off around the world touring her recent album 25 for most of 2016, returning to Britain to headline the Saturday night of the Glastonbury Festival in June.
