New reports indicate that eagerly awaited albums by Adele and Coldplay are set to be released in the autumn, with both being labelled “Must-Hear Fall Albums” on the new front cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

The latest issue of the rock monthly suggests that both albums will drop before 2015 is out. Adele’s 21, the fourth-biggest selling album in British chart history as well as a multi-platinum chart buster around the world, was released back in 2011. Its follow-up – which will continue the age theme and be titled 25, according to the most recent reports – has been shrouded in secrecy. But Billboard reports that her record label, XL, is gearing up for a November release.

AdeleAdele is reportedly going to release her third album '25' in November

One of its producers, Emile Haynie, stated to the Daily Star back in April this year that Adele is “taking her time” in following up such a massive album. Speaking about his working relationship with her, the former Lana Del Rey and Eminem producer said: “I’d push for it to happen, but we’ll have to wait and see.”

As for Coldplay, their seventh album Head Full of Dreams is reported to be a sort of sequel to a two-part project, following on from Ghost Stories which was released in the spring of 2014. It’s also rumoured that it will be their final album – though this was merely an inference on what lead singer Chris Martin revealed back in December last year.

ColdplayColdplay are also rumoured to be releasing their 7th album

“It's our seventh thing, and the way we look at it, it's like the last Harry Potter book or something like that,” Martin previously said on BBC Radio 1. “Not to say that there might not be another thing one day, but this is the completion of something… I have to think of it as the final thing we're doing. Otherwise we wouldn't put everything into it.”
