Angelina Jolie has been one of Hollywood's leading actresses for many years, and even won as Oscar in 2000, so after achieving all this success it seems the 39 year-old star is looking for a career change in the near future.

Could Jolie become a politician?

As well as being a movie star, Jolie is also known for her dedicated work as a humanitarian, which includes co-founding the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative PVSI, an organisation aiming to fight against sexual abuse around the world. However, she recently revealed that entering politics may be the best way to actually make a change.

"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered. Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," she told Vanity Fair's December issue.

"I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful - I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that [could] make it less possible," added Jolie, who was named an honorary Dame in June.

But Jolie definitely assured that "I am open" to pursuing a career in politics.

The 'Maleficent' actress also opened up about how life has been after tying the knot with her husband Brad Pitt this past August. "It does feel different," she said. "It feels nice to be husband and wife."

Jolie also revealed her and Brad's six children were responsible for writing their wedding vows. "They did not expect us never to fight, but they always made us promise to say 'sorry' if we do," she recalled. "So they said, 'Do you?,' and we said, 'We do!'"
