Angelina Jolie can't wait to become grandparents with Brad Pitt.

The 'Salt' actress - whose mother Marcheline Bertrand died of cancer in 2007 - admits she wants to "stay healthy" so she can enjoy a long future with her partner and their six children.

She said: "I lost my mother not so long ago and there is something about the years passing where you really appreciate life more each day. The amazing part is you have a history with the people you love. And it becomes important for you to stay healthy and age gracefully.

"I want to see my grandkids. I want to see my children grown and spend the years with Brad. I want everything."

Angelina is devoted to her children - adopted trio Maddox, Zahara, Pax and biological kids Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne - and was terrified when she filmed her first stunt scenes after becoming a mother.

She explained: "I did have a moment where I thought about my life. I had the babies about a year before filming and then I took 12 months off. This action scene was part of my big return. I was hanging off that ledge thinking, 'What am I doing up here? I'm someone's mother!' "

Despite her achievements, the 35-year-old beauty still has ambitions, both professionally and personally.

She explained in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper: "The truth is I'd love to live in Africa at some point. I'd love to spend more time flying planes. And artistically, there will be other things to do."
