Arctic Monkeys Teddy Picker Single

The third single from their second album 'Favourite Worst Nightmare', Arctic Monkeys are about to play a sextet of UK gigs, rounding off a year which has seen them headline Glastonbury and play to over 100,000 people over two nights at Old Trafford Cricket Club.

Almost every track on FWN would have made a fine single and 'Teddy Picker' is certainly in that category. A bass driven number, it features Alex Turner's trademark witty commentary on society's mindless chase for fame at any cost, all wrapped up nicely in under three minutes. By the time he has got round to stating 'who'd want to be men of the people/when there's people like you?' you can't help but laugh and agree at the appalling entrants on the likes of 'X Factor'. When Leona Lewis is a distant memory, the Arctic Monkeys will clearly live on, and rightly so when they produce brilliance like this.
