We wish him a happy 50th none the less.
Brad Pitt, who turned 50 on Wednesday, doesn’t want to make a big fuss out of his birthday. It’s too bad, since that’s what pretty much every tabloid wants to do. But instead of going on an opulent private island getaway or partying it up at an exclusive club in Vegas (clearly, this writer has no idea what the trendy thing to do is these days), the World War Z star has spent his big day… working. Odd concept, we know.
Apparently Brad isn't that keen on celebrating this year. Or at least on talking about it.
"He's not doing anything for it and he said he doesn't want any surprises," a source reveals to Us Weekly. As it turns out, Pitt would prefer to keep a low profile around his birthday."
He really doesn't want to talk about his birthday much." To be fair, we can’t believe Pitt just turned 50 either. Not that that’s a bad thing, even glamorous movie stars are allowed to get older. Yes, this piece is just full of mind-blowing concepts. In any case, the actor is too busy filming for his World War II era project Fury at the moment. Principal photography is still going on in London and the film is billed for a November 2014 release.
The 12 Years A Slave star is too busy working to participate in such frivolity.
. And while working through his 50th doesn’t sound like tremendous fun, Pitt is still getting a party – this weekend in Australia with Angelina Jolie and their six children, if the ever trustworthy “source” is to be believed.
Instead, he'll be laying low with the family this weekend.
