Children In Need's Pudsey Bear Gets An Astronomical Makeover From Brian May
Queen legend Brian May has designed his very own Pudsey Bear as part of BBC Children in Need's inaugural 'Very Important Pudsey' Collection'.
The Collection features ten bespoke Bears designed by the great and the good from British film, TV and music. The Collection sees Brian May forces with; Coldplay, Sir Terry Wogan, Gary Barlow, One Direction, Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Judi Dench, Joanna Lumley and Dame Helen Mirren who have all redesigned Pudsey in their own unique ways.
Brian's Bear is inspired by his passion for astronomy and his doctorate in Astrophysics; he truly is a star of a Bear.
The unique creations, including Brian May's Bear, are currently under auction and available for bids at eBay until Saturday 16th November. Whilst under the hammer, the collection is being exclusively exhibited at St Pancras International until the 17th November.
The 'Very Important Pudsey' Collection sees Pudsey recreated in an array of different colours from brown to royal blue, in a range of different materials from velvet to diamante, and a variety of different styles, from an Ab Fab Pudsey to a Leprechaun Pudsey.
Director of Marketing and Fundraising at BBC Children in Need, Sarah Monteith says: "We are truly privileged that these national treasures have redesigned Pudsey for this incredible collection. Sir Paul McCartney's creativity has given his Bear wonderful character and personality, and you can't help but smile when you see it. We hope the public will get bidding to give these Bears a home and to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people right here in the UK."
